This Privacy Policy explains how PMCS Guide ("the app"), published by Brown Dog Arms LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information. The short version: the app is built to work offline, and your maintenance data stays on your device.
PMCS Guide has no user accounts and does not collect, upload, or sell your personal information. Your PMCS sessions, operator details, and vehicle profiles are stored only on your device.
Information you enter in the app
The app lets you optionally enter details such as your name, rank, unit, supervisor, and vehicle information to populate a PMCS worksheet. This information is stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to it, it is not sent to us, and it is not uploaded to any server we control. If you delete the app, this locally stored information is removed with it.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, contact details, or location for our own use.
- We do not use third-party advertising or sell data to advertisers.
Subscriptions and third-party services
PMCS Guide offers an optional paid subscription (PMCS Pro). Subscriptions are processed and managed by the Apple App Store, and subscription status is handled with the help of RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. When you purchase or restore a subscription, these providers process the information needed to deliver and verify your purchase in accordance with their own privacy policies:

We do not receive your full payment details (such as your card number) from these services.
Analytics and tracking
The app does not display third-party advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs to build a profile of you. Apple may provide us with aggregate, non-identifying App Store statistics (such as download and crash counts), and RevenueCat provides aggregate subscription metrics as described above.
Data security
Because your maintenance data is stored on your own device, its security is tied to your device's security (such as your passcode and the protections built into iOS). We encourage you to keep your device updated and protected.
Children's privacy
PMCS Guide is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
